It has become literally unplayable as it freezes up literally within 10 min of booting up. It often occurs when they try going to sleep, or cleaning up plates. My Sims 4 is apparently experiencing a huge memory leak. I'd really appreciate any solution anyone has and I apologize if this has been asked before, I couldn't find it when I was looking.
Is there any fix to this? I don't want to just make a new origin account because I already own several docs through steam and several through origin, and I'd be really really disappointed if I couldn't play with any of the dlc I've already paid for.
However I just found out that the base game is free now so I went to try and download it on Origin, but it refuses to let me add it to my library because "higher addition owned" (I have the deluxe version on steam). Since I owned the game on Steam I unfortunately wasn't able to play it on my Mac as I didn't want to buy a second copy on Origin. I then ended up losing access to my old pc and switching over to a Mac. I originally bought the sims 4 and some of its dlc on Steam, back when I had a windows computer. Hey, I've been having an origin issue and I haven't been able to find any solutions online.
I’m still a relatively new simmer so any help would be appreciative! So I uninstalled my game and reinstalled it with no mods in the folder and I just checked it and my saves were there and I tried the test and it immediately crashed. And each one I’ve added (which have been updated according to the modders sites for the latest update) and each one has caused a crash. So I figured it’s time to see which mod is causing the crash. I bought her house and it crashed when trying to go. I also started a new game to see if it would work. I then moved my mods to the desktop to see if it was my mods. So I tried repairing my game and it crashed again when trying to travel. They all showed up and everything seemed to work fine until I tried to travel. I added Mods for the first time today and I followed the instructions on how to install them. I play on my Mac on the windows parallelIs in Steam. Thank you!
